Built in 1914 the neoclassical home was designed by Atlee B. Ayers for Whitfield Scott Schreiner, grandson of Captain Charles Schreiner. Built at a cost of $11,500 with instructions that each of the ten rooms would have four windows so that every room would be light and bright. The building now houses the Kerr Regional History Center.
