will continue to operate during our normal business hours. If you are planning to come by the office for walk-in service (clean, repair, batteries), rather than having an appointment, please call our office just to be sure we are available to provide you service. This is particularly true for our Fredericksburg office where we do not have full time staff. Considering the rapidly changing conditions involving COVID-19, we are closely monitoring the developing situation and taking precautions in accordance with the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the American Academy of Audiology (AAA). As of this moment, we are not aware of any cases in Kerr or Gillespie County. We will continue seeing patients as normal with a few exceptions: - If you have symptoms of fever, cough, or shortness of breath, please reschedule your appointment and immediately contact your primary care physician or designated healthcare provider. - If you have traveled to China, Japan, South Korea, Italy, Iran, France, Germany, or Spain within the last two weeks, please reschedule your appointment and follow any recommended directive regarding self-isolation and testing. - If you have been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, please reschedule your appointment and follow any recommended directive regarding self-isolation and testing. - If you are at high risk for illness, particularly if you have a compromised immune system, or do not feel comfortable coming into the office, we will be happy to reschedule your appointment. We ask that if you do come to the office for either an appointment or for service at the front desk, please minimize the number of people that come into the office with you. Please be sure that anyone accompanying you to the office can follow the above guidelines as well. If you need urgent service on your hearing device(s) and don’t feel comfortable coming into the office, we will offer curbside assistance in our Kerrville location. Please call the office before leaving your home so that one of the staff members can plan to help you on your arrival. This includes minor repairs and the purchase of supplies (batteries, wax traps, etc). Our office has taken the recommended precautions to minimize the chance of COVID-19 transmission to staff and patients by: - Minimizing direct physical contact with patients (avoid shaking hands) - Disinfecting surfaces (chairs, countertops, workspaces) several times per day - Washing and disinfecting hands before and periodically during each appointment - Being mindful to minimize waiting room time Any further actions or changes will be relayed through email and our Facebook page. Above all, be safe and follow all directives of the local and state health agencies.
