Designed by Alfred Giles and built by Captain Charles Schreiner as a wedding gift for his son C.A. Jr. In 1912 the Captain's grandson, A.C. Jr, purchased the home. The second floor, arched porch and tile roof were added in 1927. Now a private residence, the home became a Recorded Texas Landmark in 1981.
