Built in 1923 for Cecil Robinson Clothing Co. three years before the Arcadia Theater. After several owners, W.J. Saludis purchased it in 1928 for his restaurant business called the Manhattan Cafe, that was said to be a favorite of country performer Ernest Tubb. The Cafe closed in 1950, but was claimed to be the first air conditioned building in Kerrville. The distinctive black and white tiles of the cafe's exterior still adorn the outside of the building.
