Originally built in 1890 under the care of Captain Charles Schreiner, with later additions, it was sold to the wool buyer William K. Sharpe of Dover, New Hampshire for $2000. Initially a frame building, brick veneer was added in 1922 and stuccoed in 1929. It later went on to serve as a millinery shop, a funeral home, and various other businesses. It is also one of the ten oldest buildings in Downtown Kerrville.
